Writer's Block: All in the Family

How do you think having siblings (or not having siblings) affects who you are as a person?
It has absolutely defined who I am.  Being a middle child framed my perspective of the world, my personality, what is important to me and how I react to things in my life.  I am a huge believe in the impact of birth order.  I think it drove who I am in a big way.

Being a middle child, I thrive for attention.  With there being nearly 9 years between me and my sister, I also have many oldest child tendencies which explains my need for perfection and my stuggles with accepting failure.    Boy, sounds like I would have been better off as a youngest child - I probably would have had a lot more fun!
