Hmmmm.....

This is a good one. Like my friend Beth, I want to travel to as many places as possible. I also want to be able to look back at my life and have no regrets. I want to know that I experienced everything I wanted, I pushed myself to do as much as I possibly could and I am content with where I landed.

What's one thing you can't say no to?

So I can generally say no to almost anything once in a while but the things I generally say yes to even when I shouldn't are:

My nephews (who could deny those adoreable faces)

Get togethers (I generally over-commit myself cuz I always feel bad about missing anything)

Meetings (ask me to attend a meeting, I'll always be there, regardless of my chaotic schedule)

Projects (if no one raises their hand, guess who takes it?)

Liquor (I'll never say no to happy hour, I mean never)

Dessert (I'll always have at least a bite if you order it)

Dancing (give me an opportunity to go dancing and I will always take it)

Vacations (I don't always get around to scheduling them myself but invite me and I'll always go)

So it actually looks like drinks and dancing are the ones I actually never say no too, not so bad :)

I can stay connected to nearly every person I know. Social sites like Facebook allow me to keep in contact with people I haven't talked to in 10 even 20 years!

Um, hello.... of course the answer is YES! Well, problem is exercise also allows me to release stress so if the pill took care of that too, then definitely. Although I suppose I could always take a different pill for the stress, or a strong drink...

I have watched this before but was reminded of it again today when one of my marketing newsletters included a link to it. If you haven't watched already, I highly suggest checking it out. It's funny and it really put things in perspective. It also makes a lot of us who are super dependent on technology and expect everything right thing second (yes, this is me) look like a**es.

I typically have very regimented fitness goals but lately things have been a bit too hectic to follow any real specifics. I exercise regularly and watch what I eat but I guess this question can serving as a forcing function for me to get back on the wagon with some actual fitness goals.

Drop a dress size and/or lose 10lbs
Climb Mount Whitney
Take Ballet fitness classes, regularly
Attend at least one of my 6am classes each week

Wow, I am exhausted just thinking about it. Probably not a good idea to write such a list while hungover - but that is for another day.

It should be super durable and light. Plus, it should have limited and larger keys to make it easier for kids to use. Waterproof would be good and a screen that doesn't show smudges as kids always want to touch the screen!

Contrary to what most people would say, I think technology has positively impacted the quality time I spend with my family. Specifically, it allows me to spend more time connecting with them so while it might not be the best "quality" it more which is always good.

I can see pictures of my nephews on photo sharing sites, hear stories about vacations via email or blogs, and even know average everyday activities through status updates on Facebook. I don't ever feel like I don't know what's happening with my family and digital technology alongside with cell phones allows me to do that real time.

Nothing replaces a face to face interaction but technology definitely provides the next best thing!

So 10 years from now I'd like to be healthy, happy and I want to look 10 years younger than I do now :) Beyond that, I think a family would be nice and a successful career and allows me to continue to challenge myself and grow. I'd also like to have enough money that I can travel a lot and take long vacations on the beach. Is that too much to ask??

On Vox: Summer Trip to MN

I spent the 4th of July week in Minnesota visiting my family. I have to say, I think this might be the first time since I moved to San Francisco that I went home and was able to not work and not feel over-extended with personal obligations. It was fun, relaxing and fulfilling. Hooray!

Here are some photos from the trip.

So the first photos is the cabin, next two are my fabulous nephew Reece and the last is the first family photo I think we've taken since I was 15 years old (from left to right - dad, mom, sister (Kelly), me, and brother (Rod)).
